Washington, D.C- 11 October 2013: Day 1

Our flight arrived at the Washington, D.C. Dulles Airport around 8:30am. I was super excited about this trip. It was raining outside and we had a long way to go.

Our hotel was in Arlington, Virginia. We boarded bus 5A to go to Roselyn metro station and from there we took the train to Crystal City Metro. We took the hotel shuttle service from Crystal City Metro. The hotel was a 5 mins drive from Crystal City Metro.
We decided to freshen up and walk down to the nearest mall. Pentagon City Mall was a ten minutes walk from our hotel and it was one of the best malls in the neighborhood. We were tired after the 14 hrs flight and all we wanted to do was eat and relax. Before leaving for USA I had checked the weather forecast for the week so I knew it would rain. I had carried both our umbrellas for this trip and it certainly helped.
Coming back to the mall; the mall was like any other metropolitan city mall in India. It had all branded stores and most of them had the Columbus Day Sale offers. We visited  the Apple store and had early dinner (tacos and burritos) in the food court.

On the opposite side of the mall was Pentagon Row which has a Best Buy store along with Marshall's, CVS Pharmacy and Nordstrom Rack. We went to Best Buy to purchase a portable hard disk, this was a big store with lots of stuff to choose from. After Best Buy, we walked back to our hotel. I spent sometime on the net, wifi was free and it had excellent speed.
Time to go to bed, good night people.
